Benneth Husted, D.O.
Founder and Executive Medical Director

A 1980 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Husted was named "Housecall Doctor of the Year" by the American Academy of Home Care Physicians in May 2004. In 2000 she was named "D.O. of the Year" by the Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons of Oregon, and in 2001 she was awarded the Northwest Osteopathic Medical Foundation Founder’s Award, honoring service to the profession and the community. She has served on the Board of Trustees of the Medical Society of Metropolitan Portland, as President of the Oregon Geriatric Society, and as a member of the American Osteopathic Association Council on Palliative Care Issues. Dr. Husted and Housecall Providers were featured in the 2001 national award-winning Oregon Public Broadcasting special, "The Way Home." She lives with her husband, John McSwigan, and two cats, in Orenco Station. She is an associate member of the Sisters of the Holy Names.
